- Where do I park? How much will it cost?

Seattle Departures: There are several covered parking garages near our check-in location (1043 Harrison Street). Please observe garage rates before parking and note their closing times.

Bellevue Departures: We encourage guests to take public transit to our check-in. There is free parking located nearby if you do drive. You will then walk over to the check-in location to meet with our staff member and board the bus. The check-in location is located on 140th, directly behind Hyatt House and adjacent to the Eastgate Park and Ride.

- Is there a bathroom on the bus?

Yes - there is a bathroom on board the bus that you will be able to use during the drive over the mountains!

- HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THERE AND BACK?

Without traffic and with good weather on the passes, the drive will take around 2.5 hours each way. Please be patient, as winter weather conditions like snow and ice may add additional time to the drive. Safety is always our first priority. Our drivers may have to chain up the bus tires on the drive there and/or back.

- CAN I BRING MY SLED?

Yes - there is plenty of storage under the bus for larger items you may wish to bring!

- Can I leave belongings on the bus?

You are welcome to leave belongings on the bus (it will be secure during your time in Leavenworth), you just won't have access to them until we depart from Leavenworth later in the day. (The bus remains locked until 30 minutes prior to departure)

- Will we be making any stops on the way?

No. This trip offers non-stop transportation from Seattle or Bellevue to Leavenworth.

- WHAT IS THE TREE LIGHTING FESTIVAL AND DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

The Tree Lighting Festival is free! Near sunset (typically about 4:30 PM) everyone will gather on the main street of Leavenworth near the gazebo. There will then be a countdown to the Tree Lighting, where the town comes to life through thousands of beautiful christmas lights!

- Can I bring my dog on the trip?

No. We are not able to include your awesome dog on this trip! We love dogs, but you'll have to leave them at home for this trip. Service animals are always permitted with advanced notification.

- Will the event be cancelled due to weather?

The only scenario in which a trip would be cancelled is if the passes were to both be closed. Our buses and drivers are extremely experienced with driving in snow and winter conditions and are educated in the process of chaining up the tires if necessary.

- Can I bring someone who is under 6 years old?

Unfortunately, our minimum age requirement is 6 years old. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on our trips. There are other tour operators in the area that can accommodate younger children, we recommend you research a few additional options!

- What is the fine print?

Each ticket is good for 1 person • Must be 6+ to attend • Provided transportation required; driving yourself is prohibited • Drinking on the bus is not permitted • Sound Excursions has the right to remove anyone from the trip who is overly intoxicated or causes a disturbance. Guests who are removed from the trip or who miss the bus home for any reason will not be entitled to a refund and will be responsible for finding their own transportation. Clean-up fee applies for guests who get sick on the bus due to alcohol consumption. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver.
